Forensics archive
Forensics is Distressed.uk’s growing trail of companies and Land Registry titles we have seen in distress — including what happens after they leave the live directory. Paid members get full dossiers, ownership hops, and watch alerts.
What we keep
- Company archives — status, districts, titles, officers (when enriched), last live sighting, exit from distress stock.
- Property archives — title number, address snapshot, and a hop list of companies we linked to that title.
- Events — status changes, title linked, title moved to a new company, officers seen, exited distressed.
This is not a 50-year national filing dump. It grows from every opportunity we sync and every company/property page we serve.
Property movement trails
When the same Land Registry title is later seen under a different company number, Forensics records a
title_company_changed event and appends the hop to the property’s ownership trail.
That is how you follow assets after insolvency — company A (bankrupt) → company B (same or related directors).
Paid members can browse the movements feed and open each title’s full trail.
Watched properties
Save titles you care about at /watches (or use Watch title on a property page).
- Free: save a small watchlist; movements are recorded but not emailed.
- Paid: email when a watched title hops to a new company, with links to both company dossiers and the trail.
Directors & related companies
When officer names are present on a company snapshot, paid dossiers show those officers and a heuristic list of other archived companies sharing officer names. Treat matches as leads — always verify on Companies House.
